About Us

Meredith is a founding partner of our firm. Originally from Tennessee, Meredith came to Oxford when she enrolled in the University of Mississippi in 1993. While a student, Meredith developed strong ties to Oxford. She and her husband, Griff, chose to remain in Oxford after both graduated from Ole Miss.


As a student, Meredith was active in Phi Mu and earned her B.P. A. in political science and criminal justice before entering the University of Mississippi School of Law. While in law school, Meredith clerked in the law office of Charles H. Walker and later with Ray Garrett who was practicing in the same office at that time.


After earning her Juris Doctorate, Meredith joined Ray in forming our firm and established our first office on Harrison Avenue in Oxford. Meredith is the managing partner of Garrett, Friday & Garner and is the only attorney with our firm licensed to practice in both Mississippi and Arkansas. Meredith now resides in Arkansas with her family where they are members of Holy Souls Catholic Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.
